I'm Lawal Habeebullahi, a Software Engineer based in Lagos, Nigeria with 5+ years building across frontend and backend: web interfaces, REST APIs, CLI tools, and cloud infrastructure.
I've shipped products for real users, contributed to live codebases, led frontend development at a startup, and taught programming to over a hundred learners. I hold certifications in Linux, Azure, and Oracle Cloud, and I work across TypeScript, Go, C#, and Java.
I don't think a person should be confined to a single job title. Engineering sharpens my thinking. Writing clarifies it. Speaking and mentoring put it to use. Here are the areas I've chosen to invest in.
Software Engineering
I build thoughtful, reliable systems. Not just code that works, but code that holds up. I pay attention to how things feel to the people using them.
Writing
I write poetry, essays, and technical pieces. Writing slows me down enough to actually think. It makes me a better engineer and a clearer communicator.
Public Speaking
I've spoken at webinars and community events about AI, blockchain, and software. Complex ideas are more useful when more people can access them.
Mentoring
I've taught programming to children, teenagers, and adults. There's something about explaining something well that makes you understand it better yourself.
